A BIG CATCH UP

I suddenly realised that I had not written on here for a year. I have been so busy travelling, writing  and doing talks I just have not got around to it. But I am now determined  to blog regularly however busy I am.

Last year I went on four press trips to Assisi, Lake Como and Maggiore, Lake Garda and Turin. As well as this my husband and I stayed in an intriguing little village in Liguria called Triora  where the last witch trials in Italy took place. I also visited Bruges last spring. Recently I visited Dublin and became really interested in their turbulent history (and tried a Guinness or two).

I am also busy writing a booklet about our local theatre which was converted from the remains of an old Dominican Friary 50 years ago. They are celebrating their anniversary in October and there are going to several events taking place plus my booklet being published. It will cover the history of the last 50 years decade by decade with stories from people who have been involved in all of the many activities that have taken place there.

I have also been busy writing a leaflet  about Boston for  visitors  who come to  on coach trips.

I still go walking and write walks for Country Walking magazine and research local history stories for Lincolnshire Life magazine. I am also going to catch up with my Lincolnshire blog. http://www.365goodreasonstovisitlincolnshire.wordpress.com

.I have been writing regularly for Italia! magazine and wrote about my brilliant trip to Assisi in the Daily Mail.

I also now do talks for WI’s and other groups about how I became a travel writer and some of my travels. I also intend to do ones on my volcano trek, walks in Lincolnshire and my mission to get Lincolnshire and especially Boston a better image.

Over the next few weeks I will blog individually about my trips  and you can also read up and view photographs on my Jane Keightley FB page.
